This Tutorial is for intermediate PSPers
all of the steps are simple basic PSP but there are alot of them
and several combinations to get specific effects.
I will start on a tag tutorial for Beginner PSPers as soon as this one is uploaded.

This sig tag looks complicated I know but its really rather easy to make.
There are alot of steps involved but all in all it is not as complicated as it looks.
You will need a few supplies before you begin though.
First thing you want to get is the .psp file of the legs :) Download here.
This is a Venus tub that was sent into the ST&G group .. thank you Venus for letting us use it.
You will also need the Broadway Deco font used. Download Font here.
TIP: You do not need to install this font to use it in PSP just open the font
viewer by double clicking on the font file. This will load the font for use in PSP.
You will also need the fill pattern brchamp.bmp
All the above files are in zip files as my host doesn't let me upload certain file types.
Download and save to your Patterns Folder inside PSP
And lastly you will need the mask Singrad4.jpg.
Download and save where you can find it easily or to your Masks folder.

Thats it now you are ready to begin.
*this tutorial was written for PSP7 it should work for PSP6 with only minor differences

First step is to open KJB_black_mules.psp If you have an earlier version of PSP and are having trouble opening email me and I will send you a copy that has been coverted for earlier versions of PSP. You shouldn't have a problem though since Venus usually saves her .psp files for all version.

Make a duplicate of the file to work on by hold down the shift key and type a D (shift+D)
Now close the original without saving any changes.

ON the menu bar at the top of the window go to Effects ... scroll down to 3D Effects then chose "Drop-shadow."
Drop-shadow on the image with these settings.
I'm not sure but in PSP6 I think the drop-shadow feature is under
Image/Effects/3D Effects

Create a new Raster Layer
Go to Layers on the menu bar chose "New Raster Laye"r

Move New layer to the bottom:
Go to Layers again scroll down to Arrange ... Chose "Send to bottom"

On foreground, chose pattern fill
then click on the pattern that is showing to get to the pattern choices.

Use the settings shown to the right If you want or you can play with the settings for a little different result.

Chose a contrasting color for the background color on the color palet that stands out from the edges of your graphic. ( I used a bright yellow)
Any color that stands out and doesn't match any of the colors near the edges of your graphic will work
On the menu bar chose Image and got to Add border. You should get a warning that PSP is going to merge the layers. Let it merge them. Border should be aprx 10 most importantly make sure symeteric is checked

Use the magic wand with these settings: RBG Value / tolerance 10 / Feather 0 (you should have a tool options window always open in PSP If not just click this button. And your tool Opions window will appear

Cick on the contrasing color on the border.
This will select the border you just added.
IF the edges are un even undo untill your border disappears then chose a different background color that stands out better.

Flood fill again with the same pattern as before.

Then colorize with the same settings as before.

On the tool bar go to Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel

Drop Shadow using these settings
Drop Shadow again using these settings
Cut-out using these settings
(Cut-out is under the 3D Effects directory) Making sure that "fill interior with color" is Unchecked
Using the Color picker chose a compimentary color for your graphic. Don't worry about the exact shade as we will be Using the colorizer later to get and exact hue match.

Add text with the text tool
Making sure that Floating is selected and Antialias is checked
Find the Broadway Deko font in the drop down font menu then type the Name you would like on your tage

*you may need to make the font size smaller depending on the length of your name

On the menu bar go to Image /Rotate
Rotate Left making sure that "All Layers" is unchecked
Using the Mover tool Move your text to the Left side of your tag or to the position you wish to place it.
