This is my version of the famous Cut out effect
All though this effect can be easily achieved using EyeCandy 4000's cut-out
and corona filters
I have chosen instead to teach you the method using only internal PSP features.
First create an image 300x300
Using the text tool
type the text you wat cut out

To center text in the middle of your Image Cut
then paste as new layer ![]()
Select all (Ctrl+A) then float (Ctrl+F)
Go to your layer palet and Make Layer1 active

On the main menu go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut-out

Now go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
Chose a light color other than black for your shadow

Repeat the Drop Shadow with the same settings
Now go to Selections/select none (Ctrl+D)
Go to your layer pallet and delete layer 2
Use Colorize (Shift+L) to make your cutout match any background you wish
to put it on.
Now you can cut and paste the text where ever you need it or export
as a tube to use when ever you like.
